FUTURE SCOUT DAY

On Saturday 11 January 2025, AJ2025 will be holding Future Scout Day. This is a chance for Joeys and Cubs (our Future Scouts) to visit the Jamboree site in Maryborough, Queensland, and learn what it’s like to be a Scout attending the biggest scout camp in Australia. There will be special activities on offer for them to take part in, as well the chance to walk around the gigantic camp site.

There are many places to explore at a Jamboree, including the Mall, Sub Camps, Activity Zones and your Scout’s or Group’s Unit Site, you might even want to visit the many Contingent tents in the mall or the Scout Shop. Many of the on-site activities Scouts have participated in, or will engage with, will be exclusively available for our Future Scouts on the designated day. Be sure to explore Your Action, Your Choice, Your Discovery, and Your Summit to find out which activities will be open and ready for adventure.

All Joeys, Cubs and families will need to book to attend Future Scout Day. Future Scouts can visit their own Scout or Group on-site by reaching out to their Scouts Jamboree Scout Leader (JSL) or Contingent, who will help guide them to the right Unit Site and give them an inside look at what Scout Jamborees are all about. Have a question, experiencing any issues or want to know more? Checkout the FAQs for more informationMore information will be published here as it becomes available about what great things will be available at Future Scout Day!
