With less than two weeks until the AJ2025 Opening Ceremony, it's almost time to start packing! There are many approaches to packing for a big camp like a Jamboree, but here are a few of our favourites:
1. The 'Be Prepared'
Remembered: To check their gear list - twice - and now they are ready to go!
Forgot: That there's still two weeks until Jamboree, but they've already packed all of their undies.
2. The 'Over Prepared'
Remembered: All of the essential items - as well as some not-so-essentials.
Forgot: That they need to be able to carry their bag, or at least lift it.
3. The 'Out-Sourcer'
Remembered: When their Leader said 'Work smarter, not harder'.
Forgot: That their Leader won't re-pack their bag for them at the end of Jamboree.
4. The 'It'll be right!'
Remembered: At least three pairs of undies.
Already Forgot: What's in the bag, where they put that left sock, and if they threw in a torch.
5. The 'Procrastinator'
Remembered: That Jamboree isn't until next year!
Will Forget: Everything important when they spend 20 minutes packing (30 minutes before their bus leaves).
6. The 'Helping Paws'
Remembered: To take their cat out of the bag before they zipped it up.
Forgot: To take their other cat out of the bag before they zipped it up.
Whatever your packing style is, hopefully you don't forget anything important! Remember to write your name on EVERYTHING, and get ready for Your Quest, Your Way!
